Natural disasters, disease outbreaks, displacement, and other crises can quickly disrupt access to healthcare, medication, clean water, information, and essential community services. Strong local systems are critical to protecting vulnerable populations before, during, and after an emergency.
The goal is not simply to respond to emergencies, but to build communities’ capabilities, systems and resilience to withstand future crises.
